NATURENS HÄMNDdescribes the impact of human interaction with nature on people as well as other beings. Director Stefan Jarl travels through Sweden and witnesses human hubris and the belief that nature can be controlled with his camera. The effects of the widespread use of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers in agriculture are drastic - a destroyed and poisoned environment leads to disease in humans and animals. For Jarl, the experts are the farmers he visits and has long conversations with. They talk about their observations and conclusions and expose the insanity of the prevailing order and the question of responsibility.
