Intouchables

Otherness: A buddy movie of contrasts: Philippe (François Cluzet), rich, cultured and paralyzed from the neck down, employs the ingenuous and brash Driss (Omar Sy), who has a criminal record, as a caregiver and driver. A friendship develops gradually, not despite their differences but because of them. This is a charming feel-good movie and a well-meaning appeal to understand cultural and social differences as an opportunity for learning. "The unusual friendship depicted in this film shows vividly how disabled people are treated by others and how they would like to be treated.
