With the help of special equipment placed on a mountain that can move a running camera via a swivel arm in any conceivable direction and across any conceivable axis at often high speeds, Snow shot footage of a mountain world in northern Quebec. With the respective alignment programmed with total precision, images of an environment are created that entirely change the landscape and our perception of it. With the line of horizon often literally turned on its head, any normal sense of orientation is suspended. A uniquely cinematic landscape is created instead, embedded in a cycle of light and dark, warmth and cold. (mg)
