In December 1982, journalist Michèle Manceaux spent two days interviewing Yann Andréa, the much younger partner of author and director Marguerite Duras. The intense conversation centered on literature and admiration, love and sexuality, control, and submission. Almost 40 years later, Claire Simon revisited the long-lost audio interview. With Swann Arlaud as Andréa and Emmanuelle Devos in the role of Manceaux, the director translates the exact wording of the conversation into a compact Kammerspiel, supplemented by archive material and film clips (including of INDIA SONG), in which Andréa and Duras' complex relationship structures are reflected.
