Prosthetics made to measure by a world-leading prosthetics company in a small German town. The serial production of luxury gloves in a traditional manufactory in southern France. The industrialized manufacture of jeans by piecework in an Istanbul factory. Daniel Eisenberg’s latest film, THE UNSTABLE OBJECT II, is centered on places of production deliberately chosen to represent a broad range of work areas, worker types, and work structures. With utmost precision and long takes depicting the stages of production, Eisenberg’s multi-award-winning triptych takes its time to show the interaction between places, objects, gestures, and producers, creating a space for reflection on the implications of the changing world of work in the early 21st century.
