  • Introduction: Johannes Praetorius-Rhein ((film scholar and sociologist)

Holocaust survivor Lea Weiss is called on to testify in court about the horrors she experienced in a concentration camp. But this exposes her even beforehand to harassment and threats, forcing her to relive her trauma. This was one of the first West German films to take the perspective of a Holocaust survivor. It stands as a historic testament to the space Jewish voices were given in post-war West German society.
