  • 16 mm film performance with live by Melissa Dullius, Gustavo Jahn; film performance with reading by Ojoboca; live 35 mm & DCP double projection by Bernd Lützeler

An expanded cinema evening: Berlin filmmakers and artists – all members of the self-organized film lab LaborBerlin who have also shown at Berlinale Forum Expanded – will be showing film works that shatter the classic cinema situation in one way or another. Melissa Dullius, who is also part of the duo Distruktur together with Gustavo Jahn, presents the short film EL MERAYA (2018) in a performance version with 16mm film projection and text and sound spoken/produced live. Ojoboca, the duo consisting of Anja Dornieden and Juan David González Monroy, are showing PRINT ANALYSIS (2024), a new 16mm film performance and reading based on their 16mm 4 channel film installation of the same name. Lastly, Bernd Lützeler brings his film CAMERA THREAT back to the big screen, which originally received its world premiere at Forum Expanded in 2017. The multi-genre film consists of fictional scenes directed by Lützeler and sequences of found footage collected at flea markets in Mumbai, which the filmmaker combines and synchronizes live on the screen from a digital and analogue projection.
