Das große Museum

With DAS GROSSE MUSEUM, one of the films in series is dedicated to what goes on behind the scenes of a cultural institution: the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. The film accompanies the renovation and restoration work before the museum’s reopening, shows budget and marketing meetings as well as cleaning staff and art historians. Before the backdrop of the construction work, the grand rooms and museum objects are never just shown as what they are, but instead form part of actions or are incorporated into situations.
