Afrikamera Shorts – Re:Imagine Africa

The AFRICAMERA SHORTS – (RE)IMAGINING AFRICA (DR Congo 2019–2022) section focuses on experimental shorts that take a glance back from the past to the future. It  includes À LA RECHERCHE D’ALINE by Rokhaya Marieme Balde, in which the director returns to Dakar to make a film about the Senegalese resistance heroine Aline Sitoé Diatta. The search for the "real Aline" turns out to be just as important as the planned reenactment of her story. (fw)
