Resistance – Subverting – Surviving: This film, which dealt with the persecution of German Sinti at the hands of the Nazis in its full context for the first time in the history of the FRG, is told from the perspective of Sinti themselves. Melanie Spitta, who was herself the child of survivors, is the narrator/off-voice. Rarely screened in recent decades, it features impressive and harrowing interviews with survivors. (Gaby Babić)
