zu den Ticketszu dem KalenderOn September 1st 1929, at the age of probably 16, but possibly even just 13, Luis Villanueva Páramo entered a boxing ring for the first time for an official fight – and lost based on points. When he won his 255th and last fight via knockout on February 3, 1961, he had already grown into a worldwide boxing legend called Kid Azteca. In his 18th year as professional, Villanueva played himself onscreen, also so all his fans who would never be able to afford a ticket to one of his matches could marvel at his stamina in the cinema. The thriller story woven around the documentary core turned out extra pulpy – to the approval of the audience. (om)
