Husseyin comes to West Berlin from Turkey. He wanders through subway stations and looks up at the buildings. His new environment has disdain for him: whether because of his monotonous job, prying eyes or everyday racism, he doesn't feel at home. Only in his Kreuzberg surroundings does he experience something like solidarity. Saless' first film shot in Germany provides an insight into the life of someone who is forced to leave his home and find a new one. He portrays the after-effects of German immigration policy on individuals, which are still tangible today.
