Lost and Found: Johan Prijs

The first is a portrait of Johan Prijs, founder of Dutch film laboratory Haghefilm. His company entirely devoted itself to restoring films in the 1980s. From that point on, the world was made reacquainted with the forgotten colors of silent film. The films duplicated at Haghefilm showed an astonishing picture quality, which placed many of the assumptions about what film used to be in question.
