Ojciec i syn

A joint trip to France for Marcel and his son Paweł—both renowned documentary film directors—becomes a snapshot of their relationship, which is hardly free from worries, and a journey into Paweł’s childhood. As a boy, Paweł lacked both affection and stability; for Marcel, being a father was “not a very successful experiment”. But this is not a film about reproach, but rather a mature look at their two lives and a recognition that suffering didn’t extinguish the love between father and son, even as words of reconciliation won’t be able to heal the scars either.
