A former teacher carries out surveys for sociological studies in Tbilisi. She looks for people to speak to in stairwells and courtyards, is sometimes rebuffed, but more often invited into a broad spectrum of different apartments and family situations. It’s here that she takes out her documents and starts to ask about her hosts about their specific stances in a measured tone: on Georgian foreign and domestic policy, the protection of minorities, all manner of social and economic themes. From the people, their answers, and their choices of décor, the fascinating image of a society in the grip of change comes into view - and at the end of this entertaining documentary, the interviewer becomes the interviewee.
