Shy emerging filmmaker Boris (Mathieu Amalric) and energetic young manager Marilyne (Hélène Fillières) don’t know each other at all when they spontaneously pretend to be a couple at a party. Five years later, they have two children, Marilyne is a successful businesswoman, and Boris is still an emerging filmmaker. Tired of his day-to-day existence as a house husband, he decides to run away during a trip to Ibiza, but Marilyne has beaten him to it and already disappeared. Five years later still, the couple bump into each other again on a climbing trip to the Pyrenees and act as if they’d never met… The Larrieu brothers’ first feature – the first of their many collaborations with Mathieu Amalric – is an amusing comedy with a song or two (music: Philippe Katerine), lots of gazpacho, and several deer and capercaillies.
