In her conceptual films and photographs, Jeanne Faust stages scenes that make an everyday impression while at the same time appearing to stem from feature films. She falls back on cinematographic recollections that have become part of our collective memory. The monograph Jeanne Faust – OUTLANDOS is one of the most appealing film and photo books in recent times, edited by Sabine Gamper, Bettina Steinbrügge and Astrid Wege and published by Christoph Keller Editions. The editors and Jeanne Faust will present and discuss the artist's video works at Arsenal. Afterwards, we will screen "the most beautiful film on Germany by the artist's strictest professor": ARCHIV DER BLICKE by Rüdiger Neumann (1984) (Dec. 9)
