Cinema for Children and Teenagers

One year of "What is Cinema?"! We're celebrating the first birthday of our film offerings aimed at pupils with a presentation of three afternoon programs. In combination with short, guided museum tours, moderated film screenings and discussions, we hope that "What is Cinema?" will sensitize children and teens for cinema, give them insight into film history, and awaken enthusiasm for the different facets of this medium. The programs are devoted to animated films (2.11.), the comedians Chaplin, Keaton and Laurel & Hardy (8.11.) as well as the classic Italian film THE BICYCLE THIEF (Vittorio de Sica, 1948, 9.11.). In conjunction with the Film Museum's "Wasserwelten" exhibition, we will present an extensive short film program on 29 & 30.11.
