Homage to Madame Kawakita (3): 24 Japanese Classics

In February we continue our Japanese film retrospective "Homage to Madame Kawakita" that includes a total of 24 films and is dedicated to the great promoter of Japanese cinema. The retrospective is rounded off by two works of the great innovator of Japanese cinema, Nagisa Oshima, who has repeatedly been a guest at Arsenal. In January we already screened an Oshima film, VIOLENCE AT NOON (Jan. 31, repeat on Feb. 2). Two more will be shown in February: BOY and THE CEREMONY.
