Banned Films

On Sept. 9 and 10, the Deutsche Kinemathek and iRights.info will hold the symposium "Banned Films" dealing with the existing legal restriction of films and their effects on production, distribution, and reception.

The confiscation of AI NO KORIDA (In the Realm of the Senses, Nagisa Oshima, J / F 1976, Sept. 8, introduction: Stefanie Schulte Strathaus) as a pornographic movie by public prosecutors at the Berlinale triggered a debate on censorship in 1976.
