"Indirect Language" (2010–) is an ongoing stage adaptation of Maurice Merleau-Ponty's "Indirect Language and the Voices of Silence" (1952) by Cally Spooner. Spooner divides this essay on language, history and cultural expression into eight parts, numerous revisions, dialogs, and stage directions. For Berlin, Cally Spooner and Will Holder have developed a new version of the play. Afterwards, Dorothea von Hantelmann, Dieter Roelstraete, Felix Ensslin, and Ellen Blumenstein discuss the politicalness of the format "lecture performance" and its potential. (Dec. 10)
