On the occasion of the children's exhibition "In the Jungle", the Deutsche Kinemathek – Museum für Film und Fernsehen presents a film series on the theme, as well as the results of an animated film workshop for children held in August: DETEKTIVIN CHARLY: VERBRECHEN IM DSCHUNGEL. Afterwards the film JOSÉ – RETTER DES REGENWALDES (D 1991; recommended for children 8 years and older) by Karl Schedereit will be shown. The rural worker Ramon lives with his family at the edge of the jungle in Central America. He has forbidden his 11-year-old son to go to where he works, because it's too dangerous. But the danger comes from the people themselves, who day after day cut down the jungle giants. When José finds out that his father works as a lumberjack, his relationship to him deteriorates. Free admission for Jungle Explorers. The card can be purchased in the exhibition "In the Jungle" at the Museum für Film und Fernsehen. (Sept. 26)
