The "aliens" in the film program "Ordinary aliens longing for marriage in mysterious homelands" curated by Beate *Justin* Rathke wander about in the border zones that cannot be clearly attributed. The eeriness in what seems homely and the ambiguity of identitarian categories such as gender and culture encounter the yearning for a sense of belonging and visibility, between hen house, highway and Hollywood. HOME TERRITORIES N°1 is a liberating act close to insanity. In BACK SPACE, the outer world shrinks and makes room for an inner world. Fictive and non-fictive elements overlap and enter into a dialog on the "truth" in cinema and linear readability of trans* vitas in AGAINST A TRANS NARRATIVE. (Jan. 18)
