The UdK seminar "me and we, us and I" held by Stefanie Gaus and Madeleine Bernstorff examines in/formal, strategic or activist collectives and collaborations, i.e., joint approaches in filmic work (which rarely take place). The seminar also deals with questions of remembrance and alterity, as well as cinema as collective memory. In the program "Images of Workers, Work of Images," we will screen films by Piel Jutzi and a collective of proletarian cameramen, the Groupe Medvedkine, the Westberliner Filmkollektiv, Cristina Perincioli and the women of the Mieterverein Märkisches Viertel, and Stefan Hayn. The program "Migration and Colonialism" features films by Kurt and Christine Rosenthal, the Groupe Medvedkine, Paulin Suleiman Vieyra and the Groupe africain du cinéma, Sarah Maldoror, and Santiago Alvarez.
