Book Presentation: Kinoanalyse (Cinema Analysis)

Veronika Rall presents her book Kinoanalyse. Plädoyer für eine Re-Vision von Kino und Psychoanalyse (Cinema Analysis. A Plea for a Re-Vision of Cinema and Psychoanalysis) which is published by Schüren as part of the Zürcher Filmstudien series. Rall’s book takes a critical look at the psychoanalytical film theory of the 70s and 80s whilst also turning the relationship between psychoanalysis and film on its head. By means of a series of examples, she explores the question of how films have interpreted psychoanalysis.
