At the same time as the trial against SS Obersturmbannführer Adolf Eichmann was taking place 50 years ago in Jerusalem, the German Jewish journalist Erwin Leiser (1923 – 1996) was compiling historical footage for his damning indictment of the Nazis' persecution of the Jews, EICHMANN AND THE THIRD REICH (Switzerland / West Germany 1961).
