Living Archive – Archive Work as a Contemporary Artistic and Curatorial Practice
The "Living Archive – Archive Work as a Contemporary Artistic and Curatorial Practice" project is now underway! Curators, filmmakers, artists and other researchers are now beginning to develop projects that take the Arsenal archive's holdings as their starting point. Living Archive represents an attempt to process the archive’s holdings with an eye on the contemporary, allowing the archive to be preserved whilst creating new material and generating fresh approaches at the same time. Since June, the participants have been viewing material at our editing tables and holding discussions at the premises of our cooperation partner Salon Populaire. Public screenings will also be held once a month (July 19 and August 16). The progress of the project will be documented on our website.
