The December edition of the UdK class on Time Based Media and Performance begins with Frederick Wiseman's THE STORE (USA 1983, December 7), his first color film which explores a luxury department store. MALEREI HEUTE (Germany 2006, December 14) by Anja-Christin Remmert and Stefan Hayn takes documentary watercolors from advertising billboards as its starting point. "In this film, painting functions as an attempt to see the social changes in a new light that goes beyond what we already know." (J. Beringer). 13 REGELN ODER DIE SCHWIERIGKEIT SICH AUSZUDRÜCKEN (Germany 1998, December 14) stages two texts: Ad Reinhardt's Ethik für Bildende Künstler (Ethics for Artists) and Copi's text about the failure of the sexual revolution. In Agnès Varda's LIONS LOVE (USA / France 1969, December 21), Warhol diva Viva lives the boho-life with Jim und Jerry in a villa, with the murder of Robert Kennedy and Shirley Clarke's search for a Hollywood producer taking place in parallel.
