The ONE WORLD BERLIN Film Festival for Human Rights and Media is taking place for the ninth time in 2012, comprising ten different programs from November 22-28. Directors, human rights experts and other guests will accompany the program with discussions and Q&As.
WOULD YOU HAVE SEX WITH AN ARAB? (I/F/B 2012) by Yolande Zauberman opens the festival on November 22, in which Zauberman and her co-author, Lebanese writer Selim Nassib, ask both Jewish and Arab Tel Avivers – from club kids to 90-year-olds – the provocative titular question. "The Palestinian problem can't be solved in bed", is one Jewish interviewee's response. But Zauberman and Nassib's approach does at least start the dialogue.
