Engaging cinema and re-viewing collective practices (Nicole Wolf, Nanna Heidenreich)

Engaging cinema … questions our relationship to past political film projects and the possibilities to screen these anew, to view them and place them in new geopolitical and cinematographic networks. KYA HUA IS SHAHAR KO? (What Has Happened to this City?, Deepa Dhanraj) is being presented as a DVD with additional research material (19.6., Deepa Dhanraj is our guest). The feminist works of the film collective Yugantar (1980–83, India) provide the starting point for an open seminar (20.–21.6., KW) on collective political film projects.
