If sex takes no time (and was kein lebendes Bild) (Stephan Geene)

Stephan Geene's Living Archive project is comprised of a screening of Raúl Ruiz's L'HYPOTHESE DU TABLEAU VOLE (F 1978), based on the ideas of Pierre Klossowski about the image, the body and his self-display (17.6). The tableaux vivants from the film can be found again at an installation at the KW. The installation will be brought to date with an (anti-)theatrical performance (with Joana Barrios) at the exhibition opening. The character of the living painting from Ruiz's film will thus be linked to the question of what the "living" in living archive actually could mean and what it means to bring historical material "back to life".
