Fernando Birri's ORG (1967-1978, 30.6.)is a monstrous "non-film" (Birri) that has rarely been shown since its original screening in 1979. Produced by the main performer Terrence Hill, ORG is a compendium of the experimental, aesthetic and political trends of the 1970s. One copy of the three-hour-long excessive work remained in the archive after a 1991 Birri retrospective at Arsenal It was then digitalized as part of the Living Archive project. Michael Baute and Stefan Pethke (ENTUZIAZM) developed video essayistic approaches to this fissured, film exclusive with students from Frankfurt University and the HBK Braunschweig(Presentation 31.6). A slide show from the business year of 1978 will also be shown at KW. (29. & 30.6.)
