The Sounding Archive/Pieces for the Archive II (Eunice Martins)

Two different approaches to the films of the Arsenal archive, or rather its total stock, and two forms of interacting with it. The Sounding Archive (with Andre Bartetzki) is a sonification of the archive's whole data using real-time synth and algorithmic composition. It can be heard during the whole month of June as a sound installation in the Arsenal cinema's foyer. The performance Pieces for the Archive II (28.6) is a live, communicative and self-contained composition featuring Laura Mello (piano, live electronics), Miriam Akkermann (flute, live electronics) and Eunice Martins (piano, vocals) that interacts with selected shorts as they are screened.
