Location Body – A Tribute to Peter Kern

Curtain up for Peter Kern! To coincide with his 65th birthday and in collaboration with Filmgalerie 451, we showing four films by and with the Viennese actor and filmmaker, who stood before the camera for Syberberg, Fassbinder and Schlingensief whilst also directing almost 30 films of his own. Elfriede Jelinek and Ulrich Seidl have written a short welcoming speech for the tribute, which will be read out on the individual evenings of the series. Some of the guests we are expecting include Irm Hermann, Traute Further, Rosa von Praunheim and Axel Ranisch, as well as Peter Kern himself in person.
