The composer/pianist Eunice Martins and the composer/performer Laura Mello have been realizing projects in Berlin schools since 2013. Their SonONOlux project aims to explore sound and music in conjunction with early and experimental film forms. They will present the results of their most recent workshop with 7th and 12th year schoolchildren from the Gebrüder-Montgolfier-Gymnasium (Berlin-Johannisthal) at 5.30 p.m. at Arsenal. The compositions that were created during a week-long project on the theme of "Flying" will be presented live, as accompaniment to a selection of shorts. The experimental and conventional sounds of the schoolchildren will also complement the films, colliding or entering into a dialogue with them.
