The short films of Maike Höhne: gentle, navigated and full of lyricism at first glance, they develop their protagonists' world of phantasms in unflinching fashion, as if in a beautiful frenzy. Her debut feature ¾ has now emerged from these shorts: Sabine und Michael are both around 40, freelancers, and live in Hamburg Altona. He has a son from a previous relationship; she is pregnant and cries in front of the television in the evening. Michael calmly endures her moods and looks after his marijuana plants. When Sabine loses the baby in the 3rd month, their everyday life crumbles. She finds a lover and he can't find the right words. The bluntness of these images, which were created with great care and a love of detail, lies in the everyday nature of the dramatic. (stss) (19.5., with guest Maike Höhne)
