Analogue Zone Closing event

Analogue Zone is a long-term film project about analogue film work, in which over 40 filmmakers, artists, and amateurs from Egypt, Germany, and Greece have participated. It is based on lively and intensive exchange between the film associations Labor-Berlin e.V. and the Cimatheque in Cairo and took place in cooperation with the independent film lab LabA (Athens). Over 30 shorts, installations and performances using Super 8 or 16mm material were developed during three workshops in Cairo and Berlin. Now the project (2012 - 2016) is closing with a summarizing series of events featuring international guests. Film evenings, an exhibition, performances and podium debates will take place at Arsenal and LaborBerlin (PA58 - Prinzenallee 58).

On two evenings, Arsenal will screen a selection of short and medium-length films that were either made during the program or are connected.
The closing event at LaborBerlin (Prinzenallee 58) will begin on 16th June with an exhibition, a reception and the presentation of a publication, which includes a DVD. On 18th June, different panel discussions on the theme of independent structures and analogue film will take place, as well as an evening of performance.
