The exhibition Common Affairs. Contemporary Art from Poland runs at the KunstHalle until 31th October. One of the showcased artists is Łukasz Jastrubczak, who will present his most recent film MIRAGEas well as the classic The Saragossa Manuscript as part of KinoPolska. MIRAGE. IN ORDER OF APPEARANCE (Łukasz Jastrubczak, PL 2015, 27.9., guest: Łukasz Jastrubczak) is based on the correspondence between the director and the art critic Sebastian Cichocki. A duel of words and images emerges, an artistic journey, a trip through the world of images and ideas. PAMIĘTNIK ZNALEZIONY W SARAGOSSI (The Saragossa Manuscript, Wojciech Has, PL 1964, 28.9., Introduction: Łukasz Jastrubczak) During the commotion of the Napoleonic Wars, two enemy soldiers meet on a roof. A dusty manuscript saves them from fighting to their deaths. (mg)
