DIE TAUBE AUF DEM DACH(East Germany 1973/2010), a love triangle between a construction engineer, an elderly brigadier, and a young student at a large-scale construction site was banned upon completion, because the film confronted the official image of the working class with the petty bourgeois reality. In ALLE MEINE MÄDCHEN (East Germany 1979), a film student wants to shoot a portrait of a wholesome women's brigade at the Nava light bulb factory in Berlin, but the tensions within the collective escalate into fierce conflicts.(jr) (10.10.)
