The filmmaker and photographer Raymond Depardon embarked on an unusual journey - without a concrete goal or project contrary to what is usually the case with photo reportage. Pictures emerged that did not have a function, stretching into a time that could not be classified. And Depardon's most personal text developed, in which he reflects on time and coincidence, memory, loneliness and seeing, finding the foundations of his existence. It is the first of his texts to be translated into German. Earlier reflections of his had found a filmic form in LES ANNÉES DÉCLIC (F 1984), an autobiographical portrait from the 1950s to the 70s - an arrangement of the author's voice, face and images. Before the screening, Hermann Treusch will read from "Errance". (rg) In cooperation with the publishing house Vorwerk 8 und the dfi-Dokumentarfilminitiative. (1.3.)
