After its success at the Forum, we are now showing the new version of Jumana Manna’s WILD RELATIVES (2018). The film documents how seeds are exchanged between two far-flung geographies: Longyearbyen on the island of Svalbard in the northern Arctic Ocean and the Bekaa plain in Lebanon. The life of the inhabitants of these two semi-deserts is shown, who place themselves in relation to the land in different ways: coal mining, seeding of plants, escaping from war into a valley, philosophizing about something different.
