GESCHICHTE EINER STRASSE documents the construction of Berlin after the Second World War, taking Stalinallee as an example. KGU – KAMPFGRUPPE DER UNMENSCHLICHKEIT reports on an anti-communist organization, which supported resistance and espionage against the GDR from West Berlin. TAGESKURS 1:4 is about the black market in Berlin. PANKOFF. EIN GESAMTDEUTSCHES STÜCK explores what passers-by in Munich and in the Ruhr area associate with the term Pankow. PALAST DER REPUBLIK – HAUS DES VOLKES accompanies the building of the prestigious GDR building. The second part of the program comprises films which perhaps appeal more to the arts section: The DEFA explored a child’s house with little Norbert and the old Friedrichstadtpalast with Fridolin.
