Supported by the Russian Film Week 2008, we are able to expand the film education offer for schoolchildren by an additional module: With
"THE BATTLESHIP POTEMKIN – The Story of a Film and its Reconstruction", Anna Bohn and Stefanie Schlüter shed light on the background of Eisenstein's film and the circumstances that led to different cuts and soundtracks. (Dec. 6 & 7; for children 14 years and older)
On Dec. 13 & 14, we will show a film for younger film enthusiasts: WINKY'S HORSE (Mischa Kamp, NL/B 2005) that tells the story of a young Chinese girl who would like to meet Santa Claus.
The poetic and fantastic film LA BELLE ET LA BÊTE (Beauty and the Beast, Jean Cocteau, F 1946) takes us to mysterious fairy-tale worlds.
