Starting March 8, 2007, Close to Home by Dalia Hager and Vidi Bilu will be theatrically released in Germany by mîtosfilm. "Close to Home" was shown in the Forum 2006 and awarded the prize of the C.I.C.A.E.
Malaysia bans film on former members of the communist party
After The Last Communist also Village People Radio Show by Amir Muhammad was banned by Malaysia's state censorship board right after the film's premiere in the Berlinale Forum.
"Don" on tour through German cinemas
Following its European premiere in the Forum 2007 Don by Farhan Akhtar will go on tour through German cinemas starting February 22.
"Babooska" in German cinemas
Since February 15, 2007, Babooska by Tizza Covi and Rainer Frimmel can be seen in German cinemas. "Babooska" was shown in the Forum 2006 and given the Wolfgang Staudte Award.
"Interzone" at Hamburger Bahnhof
Anne Quirynen's Interzone, this year in the Forum expanded program, can be seen until February 25th within the exhibition "Beyond Cinema: The Art of Projection" at Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart.
Repetition of Forum films in Arsenal cinema
A selection of films of this year's Forum program will be shown once again in the Arsenal cinema within the next two weeks.
Awards of the Independent Juries
The Independent Juries of the Berlinale gave four more awards to films from this year's Forum program: Chrigu, Heimatklänge (Echoes of Home), to Ichijiku no kao (Faces of a Fig Tree) and Tuli.
"Tagesspiegel" readers' jury award
The readers' jury of the "Tagesspiegel" assigns the award of 3.000 Euro for the best film in the Forum of the 57th Berlinale to Heimatklänge by Stefan Schwietert.
