Philip Scheffner’s documentary essay The Halfmoon Files will be released in theatres in Germany, Switzerland and Austria on September 20, 2007. After the film had its world premiere in the Forum 2007, it has been invited to numerous international film festivals and was awarded the Prix des Mediatheques in Marseille.
Seven Forum films at Asian Women's Film Festival
The Asian Women's Film Festival (September 19–23, 2007, at cinema Arsenal, Berlin) presents recent films by female directors from eight Asian countries. The selection includes seven titles from recent Forum programs, such as Kaori Momoi's directorial debut Faces of a Fig Tree.
HARDfilms: pixels and celluloid

Jagdhunde (Hounds) by Ann-Kristin Reyels won the Filmkunstpreis at the 3rd Festival of German Films in Ludwigshafen (June 6 – 17, 2007).

Visions du réel: Awards for Forum films
At the international film festival Visions du réel in Nyon Heimatklänge by Stefan Schwietert received the city's audience award, Frederick Wiseman's State Legislature the Templeton Special award of the interreligious jury.
Forum films in cinemas
With Dol by Hiner Saleem the first film from the Forum program 2007 will come to German cinemas, starting April 26. More films from the Forum 2006 and 2005 will soon be released theatrically.
"Shotgun Stories" at Tribeca Festival
Jeff Nichols' Shotgun Stories which world premiered in the Forum 2007 will have its North American premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in the section Encounters.
"In Between Days" Best Film in Buenos Aires
Last year's Forum entry In Between Days by So Yong Kim has been awarded as Best Film at the 9th Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente in Buenos Aires; Jiseon Kim received the special jury award as best actress. The FIPRESCI award was given to El telón de azúcar by Camila Guzmán Urzúa.
