A selection of films of this year's Forum program will be shown once again in the Arsenal cinema within the next two weeks.
Awards of the Independent Juries
The Independent Juries of the Berlinale gave four more awards to films from this year's Forum program: Chrigu, Heimatklänge (Echoes of Home), to Ichijiku no kao (Faces of a Fig Tree) and Tuli.
"Tagesspiegel" readers' jury award
The readers' jury of the "Tagesspiegel" assigns the award of 3.000 Euro for the best film in the Forum of the 57th Berlinale to Heimatklänge by Stefan Schwietert.
Forum expanded: "Final Beauty Moment" in the Gossip Studio at Filmhaus
The artist group CHEAP with Vaginal Davis, Marie Losier and Guy Maddin are presenting a "Final Beauty Moment" in the Gossip Studio at 6 pm today.
Teddy for "A Walk Into the Sea"
At the 21st Teddy Awards A Walk Into the Sea by Esther B. Robinson was honored as best documentary film.
Caligari Award 2007
The 22nd Caligari Award for a film in the Forum program today was given to Kurz davor ist es passiert (It Happened Just Before) by Anja Salomonowitz. An honorable mention went to Wolfsbergen by Nanouk Leopold.
FIPRESCI Award for "Jagdhunde"
The Award of the International Critics (FIPRESCI Award) for a film in this year's Forum was presented to Jagdhunde (Hounds) by Ann-Kristin Reyels.
Caligari Film Award Ceremony
On friday, February 16, 2007 for the 22nd time the Caligari Film Award will be presented to a film in the Forum program. This year's winning film will be announced during a reception at HomeBase Independent Lounge, afterwards the film will be shown once again in the Kino Arsenal.
World Cinema Fund Day with "Faro"
In a panel discussion at "World Cinema Fund Day" on February 14, 2007, Salif Traoré will take part. His film Faro, la reine des eaux is shown in the Forum.
"Cinema For Peace" Award for "Coca – The Dove from Chechnya"
At yesterday's "Cinema For Peace 2007" ceremony the 2005 Forum entry Coca – The Dove from Chechnya was honored with the "Cinema That Matters" award.
