Odagiri Joe comes to Berlin!
Japan's star actor Odagiri Joe announced to attend the European premiere of Big River in Berlin. The 36th Forum presents Funahashi Atsushi's second feature film, a US-Japanese co-production, at the Berlinale. Odagiri, born 1978 in Tsuyama, is in great demand in Japan as an actor.
Mystery Classics by Nakagawa Nobuo in the Forum
The Berlinale Forum revives its Midnight Screenings with nine classic genre films from the fifties and sixties by the Japanese master director Nakagawa Nobuo.
FIPRESCI Awards for "Como pasan las horas" and "Kekexili"
Two more Forum films 2005 have been awarded at international film festivals by critics federation FIPRESCI: Como pasan las horas by Inés de Oliveira Cézar and Kekexili by Lu Chuan.

Niu Pi (Oxhide), which had it's world premiere at the 2005 Forum and won several prizes, has been given the Vancouver Film Festival's Dragons & Tigers Award.
Forum Favorite "On the Outs" to Hit US Cinemas
Berlin kicked off a worldwide festival tour for the US independent production On the Outs. And the audience favorite from this year's Forum has also attracted a lot of attention in its home country, where it will be released in January, 2006.
