Windowed Water
Installation by Michael Snow for Büro Friedrich, Plastic film, Plexiglas, window, Idea: Michael Snow, 2007,
Assistance: Benjamin Krieg
"Windowed Water is the revival of an idea I’ve used a couple of times in the past (first in 1978). I would take a photo with the camera on a tripod human height perhaps 2 metres from the window, of the view out the window (all water if that's possible). Then I'd have a transparency made enlarged to fit in the window. So it'd be on the window and one would look through the waves at the waves, things would fit and not fit but it'd be a fixed stopped-time supered on an unfixed ever changing time."
