A timelapse-shot of water. Superimposed, as it seems, a still photograph – once more of flowing water, but now frozen in time, unchanging. The sun rises and sets, while the waves curl steadily through the frame, at times almost, but never perfectly matching their photographic blueprint.
Through (a 16mm loop responding to – and shot "through" Michael Snow’s installation Windowed Water, presented in 2007 at Forum expanded) confronts us with simultaneous movement and stillness, highlighting the close relationship between photography and film.
