Nobody likes to be left behind. The cinematographic postproduction tries to neutralize a farewell, or tries at least to suspend it. The film image of a person disappearing in a car is continually scaled up in such a way that the departing movement is completely neutralized and the protagonist retains her original size. Because of the physical zoom into the film material the image degrades continually. Film grain increases, sharpness decreases, until the image gets completely absorbed in the film material.
